Accordingly, the research team collected and synthesized documents related to the wild bird fauna in the research area; in which, 9 field survey routes were organized, directly recording the distribution, quantity, behavior and biological characteristics of bird species; building 2 typical bird sites, including 1 site at PN-KB National Park and 1 site at Dong Chau-Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve, to serve in-depth research and develop ecotourism products for observing wild birds.
Through on-site research, the Department of Science and Technology acknowledged and highly appreciated the serious, scientific and responsible working spirit of the PN-KB National Park Management Board. Initial results show great potential in exploiting biodiversity values, especially wild bird fauna, to develop unique, sustainable and conservation-related ecotourism products.
In the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology recommends that the host unit continue to focus on data analysis, building a database of species and habitats, thereby proposing feasible solutions in the conservation and development of ecotourism in key bird areas of the province. This is a task of practical significance in the context of Quang Binh promoting economic development associated with the protection of natural resources and enhancing the value of the World Natural Heritage of PN-KB National Park.
