The workshop was attended by scientists , managers, tourism businesses and representatives of a number of relevant departments, sectors and localities.

Kon Ka Kinh National Park covers an area of over 41,900 hectares, located at the junction between Pleiku Plateau and Kon Ha Nung Plateau. This is one of five national parks in Vietnam recognized as ASEAN Heritage Parks and possesses a rich primeval forest ecosystem, many rare species of flora and fauna such as the grey-shanked douc langur, and majestic natural landscapes. Kon Ka Kinh is considered the "green pearl" of the Central Highlands, with great potential for developing ecotourism and community tourism.
At the workshop, delegates proposed many solutions for green development associated with tourism to promote sustainable ecotourism and develop community livelihoods in Kon Ka Kinh National Park such as: clearly defining areas allowed for tourism exploitation, strictly protected areas; investing in environmentally friendly tourism infrastructure; training tour guides and green tourism human resources; strengthening cooperation with local communities to share benefits; applying technology in biodiversity monitoring and raising public awareness of nature conservation.
