Proposal to open an electric bus route connecting Da Lat, Bao Loc with Lien Khuong Airport

Vietnam Airport Investment and Services Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City) has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to propose permission to deploy passenger transport by electric buses on fixed routes within the province, connecting major cities with Lien Khuong Airport.

According to the proposal, the Da Lat - Lien Khuong route (distance 35km) will start at Da Thien Bus Station (Da Lat City) and end at the airport. The first trip departs at 6:00 a.m., the last trip at 6:40 p.m. daily; travel time is about 50 minutes. The return trip from the airport to the city center also departs at the same time.

The second route is Bao Loc – Lien Khuong (distance 85km), departing from Lien Khuong Airport at 7am, the last trip at 5pm. At the starting point of Bao Loc Central Market, the first trip leaves at 6am, the last trip at 5pm, travel time is about 120 minutes.

Estimated ticket price: 20,000 - 30,000 VND/trip for Da Lat - Lien Khuong route; 50,000 - 70,000 VND/trip for Bao Loc - Lien Khuong route.

In addition, the company also proposed to operate the Da Lat - Bao Loc route (125km) by 16-seat buses, 6 trips/day, travel time 2 hours 45 minutes, ticket price 100,000 VND/trip. Frequency can be adjusted depending on actual demand.

Currently, there is no direct bus route connecting urban areas along Highway 20, especially the two cities of Da Lat and Bao Loc with Lien Khuong Airport, forcing residents and tourists to often travel by personal vehicle or rent a service vehicle at a high cost.
