On June 11, the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee announced the Decision to establish a Steering Committee to implement the Project on Preserving and Promoting the Cultural Values of the Muong Ethnic Group and Hoa Binh Culture for the period 2023 - 2030. Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, is the Head of the Project Steering Committee.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province, after the Provincial People's Committee issued the Conservation Project, up to now, 10 districts and cities have developed and issued implementation plans.

In particular, the preparation work for investment in the construction of the Muong ethnic cultural space conservation area associated with tourism development in Tan Lac district is being actively implemented; the provincial museum has restored 9/74 valuable bronze drums to preserve and serve as an exhibition to introduce the bronze drum heritage of Hoa Binh.

The cultural sector has conducted an inventory and collected intangible heritage of the Muong ethnic group; completed the scientific dossier of the Trai Cave and Vanh Stone Roof relics in Lac Son district, and submitted them to the Government for decision on ranking as special national relics.

Hoa Binh province has also coordinated with the Institute of Music to complete the scientific dossier of Mo Muong cultural heritage and submit it to the Prime Minister to submit to UNESCO for inclusion in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection...

To implement the Project, the Department of Culture of Hoa Binh province proposed to establish a Research Center on Muong ethnic cultural heritage and Hoa Binh culture.

Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long emphasized that the province has identified the viewpoint of preserving cultural values to develop tourism, and that the people are the main subjects in the work of preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Muong ethnic group and Hoa Binh culture, which is a long-term task. Therefore, the establishment of the Project Steering Committee is necessary and important.

At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long requested to speed up the construction of the Muong ethnic cultural space conservation area associated with tourism development in Phong Phu commune, Tan Lac district; focus on building a special national relic for the cave complex and scenic spot of Tien pagoda, Phu Nghia commune (Lac Thuy).
