Proposal to build a Creative Park running from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge

Thu Duc City Technical Infrastructure Development Center proposed to build a park along the Saigon River with a length of more than 1km, from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge.

Thu Duc City Technical Infrastructure Development Center has just sent an official dispatch to Thu Duc City People's Committee regarding the plan to renovate and operate the waterfront park. Saigon River, from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge, Thu Thiem Ward. The park is expected to be named "Creative/Innovation Park".

The proposed Saigon River park section is built from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge.

Accordingly, the park is expected to be invested along the Saigon River, from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge, with a length along the riverbank of about 1,130m, and a width along the bank from 100m to 120m high, in Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City.

Currently, the existing area is about 10 hectares, this area is natural vegetation, with uneven terrain, gradually sloping towards the Saigon River bank. Some locations have low-lying terrain, flooded, many types of natural vegetation, lots of weeds, trash and debris.

After completion, the park is expected to have a number of main items such as: event area, central park area, jogging/biking path connecting the entire riverside area, operator and utility building, parking lot...

Thu Duc City will renovate and improve the current status of the area, improving environmental sanitation. The expected completion date is before Tet At Ty 2025. The park will be maintained until the area is invested according to the plan.

To encourage community and business participation and reduce operating investment costs, the Thu Duc City Technical Infrastructure Development Center proposed that the Thu Duc City People's Committee renovate and operate the Saigon River park in the form of socialization.

The center said that the proposed area has a prime location - Saigon River frontage facing Ba Son Park and Ba Son villa area, Ben Nghe ward, Him Lam Golf course with a beautiful view of District 1 center and the intersection of Thi Nghe canal with Saigon river.

The current status of the area is vacant land that can be implemented immediately to serve people during the Lunar New Year. This project is generally similar to the Saigon River park area from Ba Son Bridge to the Saigon River Tunnel, which has been implemented and completed at the end of 2023.

With advantages in location and space, investment in the form of park socialization, combined with operation and exploitation when organizing programs, events, and providing services is enough to attract investors to participate in investing in construction and operation of the park.
