Declan Rice wants to score a free kick against PSG like against Real Madrid

"I've played semi-finals before and I know what needs to be done. In the game against Real Madrid, I was able to take two free-kicks. Those were magical moments.

We need magical moments to win," midfielder Declan Rice said ahead of the second leg of the Champions League semi-final between Arsenal and PSG taking place tomorrow morning (2am May 8, Vietnam time).

In the first leg of the semi-final last week, Arsenal surprisingly lost 0-1 to PSG right at home at Emirates Stadium. Therefore, coach Mikel Arteta's team is expected to face many difficulties in the trip to the opponent's Parc des Princes.

In recent Champions League history, only two teams, Ajax Amsterdam in 1995-96 and Tottenham in 2018-19, have successfully come back from a first-leg deficit in the semi-finals.

"We need to have a big determination and go out on the biggest stage to show that we are ready to play at this level. This is the second leg of the semi-final, 90 minutes to the final.

We're going out there determined to do something great for the club. We know we're 1-0 down but the game is still up. We're absolutely confident, we're confident that we're going out there and we're going to win.

We are here to make a statement: Nothing can stop us from reaching the final," midfielder Declan Rice confidently asserted before the second leg of the semi-final.

Delan Rice praised the performance of PSG players, but said Arsenal knew how to beat the French team.

"They move between the lines very intelligently. But once we understand how to beat them, we will not miss opportunities like in the first leg. We move in coordination when we have the ball, create 1 vs 1 opportunities for the wingers, then the opportunities will appear," the English midfielder concluded.
