Di Linh: Summary of the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025

(LĐ online) - On April 4, the Military Service Council of Di Linh district held a conference to summarize the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025.

Comrade Tran Duc Cong - Chairman of the District People's Committee, Chairman of the Military Service Council of Di Linh District and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh Minh - Commander of the District Military Command chaired the Conference.

According to the report at the Conference, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025 in Di Linh district has received attention from the majority of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and has been directed to be implemented closely, seriously and responsibly; propaganda,education and mobilization work has been well implemented; there is a specific, synchronous and timely implementation plan.

The Military Service Council has promoted its role and responsibility in implementing the steps in military recruitment, and carried out the military recruitment work "completely". Localities have carried out the correct procedures, ensuring democracy, fairness, and compliance with the Military Service Law.

Military agencies at all levels have been proactive in advising local Party committees and authorities to lead, direct and guide the implementation of military recruitment procedures according to regulations.

The Di Linh District Military Service Council commended collectives and individuals with achievements in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025.

Based on the assigned targets, the standing agency of the District Military Service Council advised the District People's Committee to organize the issuance of health examination orders according to the prescribed targets. A total of 580 young people were examined, of which 580 young people were present. Of these, 296 young people were qualified for health, reaching a rate of 51% compared to those present for examination.

The election and publicity work has been implemented by localities through many measures from villages, residential groups to communes and towns; promoting democracy, ensuring fairness in implementing the Law on Military Service; giving priority to the election and selection of citizens with good health, good politics , good ethics, high education level and the number of party members and children of cadres joining the army to create fairness in society. On that basis, the Military Service Council of communes and districts has conducted strict review and approval in accordance with regulations.

In 2025, the District Military Service Council continued to organize the issuance of conscription orders in 4 clusters. Thereby, it grasped the aspirations, family circumstances, and actual situation of each young person, ensuring a high rate of young people receiving orders.

As a result, in 2025, Di Linh district assigned 141/141 young men to join the army, reaching 100% of the target. The whole district recruited 3 party members to join the army.

The Di Linh District Military Service Council commended collectives and individuals with achievements in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025.

The military rear policy has always been well led and implemented by Party committees and authorities at all levels. The coordination of departments, branches and organizations has been directed to present 141 gifts to young people joining the army with a total value of 282 million VND. In addition, localities have paid attention to the management, training and use of discharged party members.

In addition to the achieved results, the Conference also pointed out some remaining limitations such as: The propaganda work of the Law on Military Service, especially for young people of military age, is not regular, continuous and widespread. The quality of medical examination of the District Health Examination Council in some stages is not good. Members of the District Military Service Council have not fully performed their roles in monitoring, assisting and directing the implementation of the selection process, calling citizens to join the army, leading to the quality of selection and military service not meeting requirements.

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Tran Duc Cong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Di Linh district, Chairman of the District Military Service Council, requested: On the basis of clearly recognizing the strengths and weaknesses in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025, the District Military Service Council needs to clearly identify the tasks set out to continue to focus on implementing in order to best complete the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in the following year, ensuring the completion of the assigned legal targets.
