According to RT, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on August 7 that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) could be a "suitable" location for a meeting with President Trump.
The Kremlin confirmed that a face-to-face meeting between the Russian and US leaders could take place as early as next week.

This information was released after President Putin held talks with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Moscow on August 7.
At a press conference, when asked about the location of the summit with Mr. Trump, President Putin said that Russia has "many friends" and the UAE is one of the options.
"One of our friends is the United Arab Emirates. This would be a quite suitable location," the Kremlin chief said.

Commenting on who initiated the plans for the summit, Mr Putin stressed that “both sides are interested”. “It no longer matters who proposed it first,” President Putin continued.
According to Western media, immediately after US Ambassador Steve Witkoff's visit to Moscow, President Trump's aides began preparing for a possible summit.
Meanwhile, when asked if he was ready to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Putin replied: "In general, I have no objections. It is possible, but certain conditions must be met."
