2025 is a year of bumper results for Vietnam, when all 5 teams at the 5 2025 International Olympiads including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Information Technology are in the top 10 teams with the highest achievements. At the same time, each team has at least 1 gold medal.
Specifically, at the 2025 International Chemistry Olympiad, 4/4 Vietnamese contestants won gold medals, the highest achievement ever. On the medal table, Vietnam is on par with the Chinese and American delegations in terms of the number of gold medals.
At the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics, the Vietnamese team brought home 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal, placing Vietnam in 8th place out of 90 countries and territories participating in the competition.
Vietnam team competes in the 2025 International Chemistry Olympiad.
With 1 gold medal and 4 silver medals, the Vietnamese team is in the top 10 countries with the highest results at the 2025 International Physics Olympiad.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team won 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 1 bronze medal, and ranked 9th out of 113 countries and territories sending delegations to the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad.
The Vietnamese team also won 4 medals at the 2025 International Biology Olympiad, with 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze, entering the top 10 best countries.
In terms of each school’s performance, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences , University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi contributed greatly to this result by leading in the number of medals. Specifically, the school won 6 medals, including 1 gold medal in chemistry and 5 silver medals in the subjects of Information Technology, Physics, and Mathematics.
Following are Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted and Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, each school won 3 medals.
Of which, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted won 1 gold medal in Chemistry, 1 silver medal in Physics and 1 bronze medal in Mathematics. Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted won 1 gold medal in Chemistry, 1 gold medal and 1 bronze medal in Biology.
Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (Nghe An) and Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted - Hue also won two international Olympic medals. Specialized schools in Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City and the University of Education High School for the Gifted each had one candidate win an international Olympic medal.
