After Anker, many companies providing backup batteries also started recalling their products, with the common point of using Amprius battery cells.

In mid-June, Anker announced a recall of more than a million PowerCore 10000 (A1263) power banks in the US. However, they are facing further trouble in China, where several other product lines have similar issues. Last week, the company said it had expanded the recall to seven models, citing a “safety risk.”

The affected Anker products in China include Magnetic Power Bank (A1642), Anker 335 Power Bank (A1647), Zolo Travel Power Bank (A1680 and A1681) as well as some models A1257, A1652, A1689. Quantity information was not disclosed.

Not only Anker, a series of other battery charger accessory suppliers including Baseus, Aukey, Xiaomi, Ugreen and Romoss also implemented similar policies. These include Xiaomi's 33 W Power Bank with built-in cable and Magnetic Power Bank 6000 mAh; Romoss's Pac20Pro 20 W, Pac20, WMS10Q-491 wireless charging pad; Ugreen's PB511 30W capacity; Baseus's 10,000 mAh 20 W capacity; Aukey's Wireless Charging Power Bank 20,000 mAh.

Of these, Romoss is recalling more than 490,000 power banks, mainly Pac20, manufactured between June 2023 and July 2024. The company's move comes after a serious incident when a rechargeable battery suddenly caught fire on a Hong Kong Airlines flight from Hangzhou to Hong Kong.

According to Notebookcheck, the recalled products all use battery cells from Amprius, a company based in Fremont, California, that specializes in battery technology research and production. China's 3C (China Compulsory Certificate) inspection agency has now revoked certification for some Amprius cells.

Although the companies have just announced recall policies in the US and Chinese markets, the affected models are sold in Vietnam, mainly through cross-border e-commerce platforms and domestic accessory stores. According to Van Tinh, technical manager of a mobile device repair system in Ho Chi Minh City, users who own rechargeable batteries on the above list should not continue to use them, but should keep the batteries in plastic boxes, in a safe place, away from high heat sources, in an easily observed position and wait for the next move from the company.

Nha Trang is the world's favorite destination for Korean tourists.

The Korea Times recently published an article introducing "Nha Trang of Vietnam is the top summer destination for Korean tourists".

As South Korea faces unusually hot weather, many tourists are planning their summer vacations early, with the Vietnamese coastal city of Nha Trang emerging as the most popular international destination for South Korean tourists , according to The Korea Times.

According to global travel platform Agoda, based on hotel search data for check-ins in June and July 2025, Nha Trang ranked first among overseas destinations favored by Korean tourists.

In addition, Nha Trang also surpassed Tokyo, the most chosen place last year, which dropped to second place.

Other popular destinations include Fukuoka, Osaka (Japan) and Da Nang City, ranked third to fifth, respectively.

Agoda also said that the ongoing global inflation trend is shifting demand to closer destinations for Korean travelers, where prices are more affordable and flight times are shorter.

Launching exhibition space for applied arts and folk arts

The launching ceremony of the Applied Arts and Folk Arts Exhibition Space took place on the morning of June 24 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. The movie that changed world cinema

Director Steven Spielberg's Jaws was released to audiences on June 20, 1975, creating a turning point in cinema history, initiating the concept of summer blockbusters and changing the view of creatures known as "ocean monsters".

Steven Spielberg, then a talented 27-year-old director, chose Martha's Vineyard as the setting for Jaws because he wanted the specially-made shark with its fearsome teeth to swim in real water. In a conversation with the audience on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the release of Jaws, the legendary director shared many memorable memories and stories. "Fifty years after its first release, making Jaws remains a profound experience for everyone, and five decades have not dimmed the memory of one of the most overwhelming, exciting, terrifying and rewarding experiences of my entire career," he said.

According to The Guardian, Jaws practically invented the concept of the "summer blockbuster", paving the way for the later successes of franchises like Star Wars, Jurassic Park and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film established sharks as fearsome monsters of the sea, but also sparked interest in marine conservation.
