Forum on Transforming Thinking from “Agricultural Production” to “Agricultural Economics”

On March 29, the Provincial Farmers’ Association organized a Forum on Transforming Thinking from “Agricultural Production” to “Agricultural Economy ” in the province. Attending the forum were leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities, cooperatives, and enterprises inside and outside the province.

The "agricultural economy" mindset has been oriented by our province for the 8th year now. Although the results of the transition to the "agricultural economy" mindset have been positive and are a development trend, the scale of the agricultural economy and the number of farmers participating in value chains are still limited due to many reasons, but the most important is the change in mindset and awareness of small-scale agricultural production that has been formed through many generations of farmers; propaganda work is still limited in content and form; propaganda is not extensive and timely; a team of propagandists with skills and understanding of the "agricultural economy" mindset has not been formed to propagate and mobilize farmers...

At the forum, the Provincial Farmers' Association requested departments, branches, organizations, and localities to coordinate in promoting propaganda and mobilizing farmers and economic sectors operating in the agricultural sector to strongly shift to the "agricultural economy" mindset to jointly achieve the goal of building "prosperous agriculture, wealthy farmers, civilized and modern countryside".
