On behalf of Vietnam Com Company, there was Mr. Bui Van Dong - Chairman of the Company, along with members of the Board of Directors, representatives of production, research and product development departments.
At the meeting, Vietnam Com Company introduced the Project to build a raw material area and a Com production factory - King Com in Than Uyen commune, Lai Chau province, with the goal of forming an industrial-scale production - processing - consumption chain of Com products, linked to the local high-quality rice raw material area.
Speaking at the meeting, Com Thanh Hai welcomed the investment idea of Com Viet Nam Company, assessing that this is a project suitable to the potential and agricultural advantages of Than Uyen, contributing to promoting rural economic development, creating jobs, and increasing income for people. He requested relevant departments, branches and Than Uyen commune to coordinate and support investors in completing procedures, surveying locations and implementing the project in accordance with regulations. At the same time, Than Uyen commune must strive to build an eco-tourism Com village, thereby building a destination and promoting products. Regarding Com Viet Nam Company, he suggested using local labor, promoting development in Than Uyen and some other communes with potential to expand raw material regional linkages; consulting, helping and supporting the locality in building Com village and promoting brands and products.
On the business side, the leaders of Com Viet Nam Company expressed their wish to receive attention and facilitation from Lai Chau province to soon put the project into implementation, aiming at the goal of building the "Com Lai Chau" brand at the national level, contributing to spreading the culinary cultural values of the Northwest region.
