Lai Chau: Training on Sub-project 2, Project 9, National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas by 2025

(laichau.gov.vn) This morning (October 27), the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Lai Chau province organized a training conference to foster legal knowledge and communication, advocacy, and legal consulting skills to implement Sub-project 2, Project 9, National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas by 2025. Comrade Nguyen Duc Thuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions attended and delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

The training conference was also attended by provincial-level reporters; leaders of some departments of some provincial agencies and units and nearly 60 trainees who are cadres and civil servants working in ethnic affairs; reporters and propagandists from communes and wards in the province...

Speaking at the opening of the training conference, comrade Nguyen Duc Thuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions emphasized that the implementation of Sub-project 2 "Reducing child marriage and incestuous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas", Project 9 under the National Target Program on socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Lai Chau province in 2025 plays a very important role and significance in contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the province.

In order for the training conference to be highly effective, the Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions requested that trainees promote a sense of responsibility, focus, seriously listen fully, actively exchange, discuss, and interact multi-dimensionally on new, difficult, and complex issues directly related to the tasks of the agency, unit, and locality with the lecturers and among trainees. Self-study, self-research according to the suggestions and guidance of the lecturers, research documents, expand knowledge, receive information, make contacts, and find ways to apply them to the practical work of the unit and locality.

It is recommended that lecturers, in the process of imparting topics according to the Program, integrate theoretical content with practical content, introduce visually and vividly good practices, models, and solutions that have been successfully implemented or initially successful in practice so that students can absorb and quickly implement them in practice.

At the training conference, trainees were imparted the following contents: Some skills in propaganda, dissemination of direct legal education , orientation of some contents of propaganda work in the coming time; methods, approaches, propaganda, handling of laws related to marriage, population and family; information on the situation and results of implementing ethnic policies, answering questions in the process of organizing the implementation of Sub-project 2, Project 9 under the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas...

The training conference aims to raise awareness, legal knowledge and communication skills, advocacy, legal advice, and change behavior in marriage among ethnic minorities, contributing to reducing early marriage and incestuous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
