United Airlines operates daily flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the US.

United Airlines officially launched a daily flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the United States. With this new route, United becomes the only US airline to offer flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City.

Passengers departing from Vietnam can easily connect via Hong Kong (China) to fly to Los Angeles, San Francisco (USA) and vice versa. From there, passengers can continue to fly to 75 other destinations across the US. Flights are operated year-round with daily frequency, departing from Ho Chi Minh City at 6:00 a.m. and arriving in Hong Kong (China) at 9:35 a.m. (local time).

From here, passengers can conveniently connect to San Francisco at 10:35 or Los Angeles at 11:25 (local time). For these flights, United uses Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a total of 257 seats, including 48 United PolarisSM business class seats with beds directly connected to the aisle.

The launch of flights from Ho Chi Minh City is another important step in United’s expansion strategy in the Pacific region. On the same day, the airline also launched a new route between Bangkok (Thailand) and Hong Kong (China), and a second daily flight between Manila and San Francisco, giving passengers the flexibility of choosing between daytime or evening flights. By the end of 2025, United will operate flights from 32 different cities in the Pacific region – four times more than any other US airline.

The flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong (China), connecting to Los Angeles and San Francisco, will be operated by United's Boeing 787-9 aircraft, with a total of 257 seats, including 48 United PolarisSM business class seats with direct aisle access, 21 United Premium PlusSM seats, 188 economy class seats, of which 39 are Economy PlusSM seats with more space.
