Technology and Energy Forum 2023

At the Forum, new technology and energy trends were introduced and discussed by experts.

The 2023 Technology and Energy Forum attracted 250 participants, including representatives of central and local ministries, departments and branches nationwide; representatives of organizations, corporations, and Vietnamese and international business associations operating in the energy sector; representatives of intermediary organizations of the science and technology market; and interested organizations and individuals.

By participating in the Forum, organizations and individuals have the opportunity to learn about new and modern technology trends domestically and internationally, increase opportunities to exchange with representatives of ministries, departments and branches, as well as better understand Vietnam's support policies in research and application of energy technology.

Chaired by the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology , the Forum discussed Vietnam's policies and programs to support and promote the use of energy economically and efficiently in the new period, contributing to ensuring energy security in the period of 2019-2030. At the same time, the Forum provided information on new technology development trends in countries, recommendations on research, transfer and mastery of technology when Vietnam receives technology for the global energy transition, contributing to meeting the commitments at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Summit.

The forum consists of two sessions. The first session discusses new technology trends and solutions, technologies to contribute to ensuring energy security and sustainable development in the new context. Accordingly, the contents shared by experts include: developing energy storage technology and green conversion solutions; waste-to-energy technology, opportunities and challenges; mastering technological solutions to improve the operational efficiency of thermal power plants; energy-saving solutions in industrial production.

The next session is a discussion on Vietnam's solutions and support policies in research and application of energy technology. The main contents include: science and technology policies for research, application and transfer of energy technology; policies to support the efficient and economical use of energy resources; investment and energy development orientation of Quang Ninh province; experience in application and development of new energy technology.

Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam 2023 is organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province with the theme "Innovation - Sustainable Development" taking place from September 29-30, 2023 in Quang Ninh. The event aims to raise awareness of innovation for sustainable economic development, attract resources for innovation in Vietnam; promote innovation through developing technology supply and demand; promote technology and innovation markets at regional, national and international scales; form and develop technology and innovation connection networks; connect businesses with domestic and international markets and partners.../.
