Apple, ChatGPT among the world's most valuable brands

Kantar BrandZ, a marketing data and analytics company, released its annual ranking of the world’s most valuable brands. Topping the list for the fourth consecutive year is Apple, with a brand value of about $1.3 trillion. That’s up 28% from 2024, according to Kantar.

Chat GPT has the 60th most valuable brand globally.

After toppling Jeff Bezos’ Amazon in 2022, the tech giant continues to dominate the list. Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are vying for the second through fourth spots in this group. Under CEO Tim Cook, Apple has managed to fend off global rivals like China’s Huawei and South Korea’s Samsung.

Another standout on this year’s list is Jensen Huang’s Nvidia, which is set to see its brand value increase by 152% by 2024. The chipmaker reached a $3 trillion valuation after announcing a deal with a Saudi Arabian tech company. Nvidia came in at No. 5 on the list of most valuable brands.

ChatGPT is the highest-ranked newcomer at #60, jumping 25 spots ahead of financial services company Stripe and 26 spots ahead of Chipotle.

Martin Guerrieria, head of Kantar BrandZ, said brands need to do more than differentiate themselves from their competitors to survive in the global marketplace. “ The remarkable rise of ChatGPT shows how a brand can find fame and influence society to the point of changing our daily lives,” he stressed. “But with AI competition accelerating, OpenAI will need to invest in its brand to maintain its leadership.”
