The rehearsal location was chosen at the 475.T2TKY feeder line - the line section sharing the same pole with the 472.T2TKY backup line supplying power to Tam Thang Industrial Park (Tam Ky city), in an area frequently affected by storms and floods. Quang Nam Power Company (PC Quang Nam) simulated complex incident situations, close to reality, to practice the ability to respond, handle quickly, and promptly restore power to priority loads.
During the drill, related specialized departments such as Safety, Dispatch, Engineering, etc., along with affiliated units, simultaneously organized activities: preparing for remote response, warning when storms are near the shore, responding to emergency storms, counting damage and organizing incident response immediately after natural disasters.
Tam Ky Power Company proactively used Flycam to inspect the power line, quickly detecting broken wires at 2 poles and broken porcelain on the 475.T2TKY feeder. The unit urgently surveyed the scene, established a construction plan and mobilized human resources and mechanical equipment to promptly fix the problem. During the entire drill, labor safety was absolutely guaranteed.
At the post-drill review meeting, Mr. Luu Duc Loi - Director of the company and Mr. Vo Anh Hung - Deputy Director, Head of the PCTT&TKCN Command Board of PC Quang Nam both acknowledged and praised the preparation and organization of the drill. The departments and units followed the script closely, implemented the correct procedures, and handled the situations well. The timing of the drill was very reasonable, both to check the work of being ready to respond to natural disasters and to strengthen the work of ensuring electricity on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, national reunification on April 30, and International Labor Day on May 1.
The company's leaders noted that departments and units need to continue to proactively develop specific plans and solutions for PCTT&TKCN, suitable for each locality; continue to strictly implement the "4 on-site" motto; mobilize sufficient resources to be ready to handle incidents; ensure absolute labor safety and traffic safety. The key tasks in the coming time are to coordinate with localities to clear the line corridor, especially trees at risk of falling onto power lines; develop plans to handle vulnerable power grid locations, especially in mountainous areas prone to landslides; organize drills combined with first aid training such as comprehensive resuscitation, handling workers stung by bees and snakes in real conditions.
Through the drill, PC Quang Nam continued to promote proactiveness; consolidate and improve the capacity to respond to natural disasters, ensure safe and continuous power supply, serve socio -economic development and people's lives in the area.
