On November 4th, sources from Thanh Nien newspaper confirmed that the Thu Duc City Police (Ho Chi Minh City) are coordinating with relevant units to investigate a brawl involving gunfire that occurred in the area, resulting in one person being injured and requiring emergency medical treatment.
According to initial information, the incident occurred at 4:00 AM on November 2nd at a pub on B Trưng Trắc Street, Ward 7 (Hiệp Bình Chánh Ward, Thủ Đức City).
At that time, a group of three people were sitting and eating inside a pub when they were suddenly attacked by another group of about 10 young men who stormed in, shouting and making a fuss. During the brawl between the two groups, these individuals fired shots.
At least one victim sustained a leg injury from a gunshot wound. The victim was assisted by local residents and taken to the hospital; their condition is now stable.
Upon receiving the report, the investigative teams of the Thu Duc City Police arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation, take statements from witnesses, and extract security camera footage.
On the afternoon of November 4th, sources from Thanh Niên newspaper reported that, following an investigation, the police have arrested several people involved and seized two firearms for forensic examination. The initial cause is believed to be a dispute stemming from debt.
The suspects detained by the Thu Duc City Police Investigation Agency include Dang Quoc Huy (23 years old), Chau Tuan Kiet (20 years old), Son Nguyen Hoang Minh (23 years old), Ngo Thanh Trung (23 years old, all residing in Thu Duc City) and 6 others for investigation into the act of shooting and injuring others, and the act of possessing weapons.
The victim in the incident was Ms. GTQN (30 years old, residing in Thua Thien Hue province), the owner of the pub where the brawl occurred. At the time, Ms. N. was sitting at a table drinking with friends when a group of customers arrived in a car. Ms. N. thought they were customers and ran to greet them. Suddenly, the group pointed guns at her and shot her in the leg. The victim was then taken to Thu Duc City Hospital for emergency treatment. Upon admission, the bullet was still lodged in her left leg.
