Dinh Van sits in the hot seat on 'Awakening Passion'.

"This year's program focuses on folk music from our homeland. When thinking about the judges, we tried to find someone who is both a musician and successful in this genre, and that's where Dinh Van came in. It was difficult to invite him because he's quite selective about the programs he participates in and doesn't want to appear frequently. We persuaded him to share his passion with young people, and he accepted," a representative from the production team shared.

Besides Dinh Van, the "hot seat" of Awakening Passion also includes director Vu Thanh Vinh, singer Luu Anh Loan, and singer-songwriter Khanh Don.

"Awakening Passion" is a competition that brings together 12 artists from various artistic fields who share a passion for singing, especially folk and sentimental songs about their homeland. Besides showcasing their talents, they must also overcome skill challenges, such as acting and dancing.

This year, the competition features a lineup of contestants including Lilly Luta, Dang Dang, Lam Hoai Phong, Hien Ngan, Tran Anh Tien, Pham Quynh Nhu, Hoang Triet, Yen Khoa, Huynh Trieu Phu, Hoai Thuong, Ngo Viet Trung, and Du Anh. The program airs every Friday evening on THVL1, starting March 7th.
