Speaking at the reception of the delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu informed about the agricultural development situation of the province.
Nghe An is the largest province in the country, a difficult province with 85% of the area being mountainous, natural disasters, floods, and epidemics often affecting agricultural production. However, in recent years, the Party Committee and provincial government have strived and in the past 5 years, Nghe An agriculture has maintained a growth rate of about 4.7% - 1.5 times higher than the national average growth rate. High-tech agricultural production accounts for nearly 10%. Nghe An also identifies the current trend of developing a green economy, a circular economy, and a knowledge economy as important, and to develop sustainable agriculture, it is necessary to apply science, technology, and a knowledge economy.
