Speaking at the reception for the working delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu informed about the agricultural development situation of the province.

Nghe An is the largest province in the country, a difficult province with 85% of the area being mountainous, natural disasters, floods, and epidemics often affecting agricultural production. However, in recent years, the Party Committee and the provincial government have strived and in the past 5 years, Nghe An agriculture has maintained a growth rate of about 4.7% - 1.5 times higher than the national average growth rate. High-tech agricultural production accounts for nearly 10%. Nghe An also identified the current trend of developing a green economy, a circular economy, and a knowledge economy as important and to develop sustainable agriculture, it is necessary to apply science, technology, and a knowledge economy.

In recent times, Nghe An has attracted 6 high-tech agricultural projects. Leading the way is TH Group, which has applied circular production processes very early. TH Group's closed production chain has contributed to changing traditional production methods, attracting the participation of local people, creating direct and indirect jobs for thousands of workers, increasing people's income and contributing a large budget to the province.
