(ABO) On April 4, a delegation from Pursat province (Kingdom of Cambodia) visited and worked with Tien Giang province. The Pursat provincial delegation was led by Mr. Run Sary, Deputy Governor. Receiving and working with the delegation were Vice Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu and leaders of relevant sectors.

Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Phan Hung Manh, Chairman of the Veterans Association of Tien Giang province, said that, implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Veterans Association of Pursat province and Tien Giang province signed on April 26, 2011, the two Associations organized a delegation to visit and work.
After more than 2 years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the delegation of the Committee of the Association of War Veterans of Pursat province visited Tien Giang, demonstrating the close friendship and cooperation between the Association of War Veterans of the two provinces. This visit and working session of the delegation will help to exchange and share experiences, functions and tasks of the two Association organizations; continue to deepen the friendship between the Committee of the Association of War Veterans of Pursat province and the Association of War Veterans of Tien Giang province.

In particular, in the coming time, the Association of War Veterans of Pursat province and the Association of War Veterans of Tien Giang province will focus on implementing and concretizing the friendship and cooperation agreement between the Central Association of War Veterans of Vietnam and the Central Association of War Veterans of Cambodia for the period of 2024 - 2029, which was just signed on March 4, 2024. In particular, the focus is on maintaining a close relationship, promoting extensive propaganda of the traditional friendship, special solidarity and loyalty, comprehensive cooperation between the Party, State, people, and the Army of the two countries and the Association of War Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia in the fields of exchanging experiences in poverty reduction, helping each other in economic development, information cooperation, propaganda... and creating conditions for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers to visit Pursat province again.

Vice Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu believes that in the coming time, the good relationship between the two provinces will develop further to contribute and foster the good relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia. In addition to discussing the work of the Veterans Association, the two provinces continue to pay attention to the issue of guiding, exchanging and transferring some technologies, science and technology for members of the Veterans Association of the two provinces to develop their economies.
