Launching the 25th Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Electricity, term 2025 - 2030.

On May 17, Electric Power University (EPU) held the 25th Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term with the spirit of "Solidarity - Discipline - Pioneering - Development".

Attending and directing the Congress was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges. Also attending were representatives of Working Group No. 4 of the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges; delegates representing schools, businesses, and members of the School Council.

On the side of the University of Electricity, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Ngo - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Chau - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Le Cuong - Vice Principal; Dr. Duong Trung Kien - Vice Principal; and 155 delegates, representing Party cells in the entire University Party Committee.

At the Congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Ngo - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council presented the political report of the 25th Congress of Party Delegates of the University of Electricity, term 2025 - 2030.

The report stated that in the 2020 - 2025 term, which is a term that shows the school's remarkable development in a difficult and challenging context, under the comprehensive and timely leadership of Party committees at all levels with the spirit of solidarity and collective strength, the school has achieved many results and marks in Party building work, political and ideologicaleducation , staff organization, professional work, international cooperation, business cooperation, etc.

Specifically, successfully implementing the Pilot Project on Innovation of Operation Mechanism, approved by the Prime Minister since 2015. Training scale increased sharply: from 11,600 students to nearly 20,000; university training increased from 19 to 32 majors, including many core technology fields serving industrialization; Strengthening quality assessment: Completing the 2nd cycle assessment, assessing 12 training programs; gradually affirming the position of a leading university in energy, aiming to reach international standards by 2030.

In addition, the work of streamlining the organizational structure to be more compact and effective: From 32 affiliated units to 26 units in accordance with the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress on streamlining the political system; Developing a team of high-quality staff: The number of lecturers increased from 317 (in 2015) to 464 (in 2024), of which lecturers with PhD degrees increased from 73 to 201 people, raising the rate from 23% to 43%. The team of Associate Professors and PhDs currently accounts for 60% of the total number of lecturers - the core resource for innovation and development of science and technology.

The 25th Congress of the School Party Committee took place in the context of the entire Party and people actively implementing the major orientations of the Party and State, bringing the country into a new era, an era of national growth, prosperity and well-being.

With a spirit of seriousness, democracy and high consensus, the Congress selected and elected the Party Executive Committee for the 25th term, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 15 comrades, of which, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Dinh Ngo was re-elected as Party Secretary, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Chau was re-elected as Deputy Secretary.

The congress was held in a spirit of seriousness, democracy and high consensus.
