At exactly 8:50 a.m., the train of 12 containers carrying sulfur, aluminum, and milk from factories in Hai Duong , Hai Phong, and Hung Yen provinces officially departed from Cao Xa station. Upon arriving at Yen Vien station, the train will connect to international transit trains for export to China.

Leaders of ministries, departments, branches and Hai Duong province performed the opening ceremony of the first freight train from Cao Xa station to participate in the international transit journey.

Cao Xa Station (Cam Giang, Hai Duong) is the second station of Vietnam Railway Corporation, after Kep Station ( Bac Giang ), to be renovated and upgraded to achieve the goal of bringing the border gate deep into the inland.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung emphasized that the development of synchronous and modern transportation, with the ability to quickly and conveniently connect with seaports, airports, border gates, and improve the capacity of cargo transportation is a task that Hai Duong provincial leaders pay special attention to. This includes planning, upgrading, and expanding Cao Xa station into an international transit station to better serve the import and export activities of Hai Duong and neighboring provinces.

The ceremony of the first train departure at Cao Xa station marks the development of the railway industry in Hai Duong; opening up opportunities for businesses in Hai Duong and neighboring provinces and cities to transport to all provinces and cities nationwide, especially promoting import and export to foreign markets such as China, Eastern European countries... with practical benefits in terms of transportation costs, transportation time, safety and smoothness in the process of goods circulation.

Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung suggested that in the coming time, relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province need to continue to proactively coordinate with Vietnam Railways Corporation and its affiliated units to promote propaganda so that businesses inside and outside the province know and choose Cao Xa station as a place to gather and transport goods to consumer markets. Maintain a 24/7 information support channel for businesses to connect and circulate goods of businesses through Cao Xa station. Urgently speed up the progress of adjusting the construction planning of the district area; adjust and update the planning, land use plans and related plans; support Vietnam Railways Corporation to implement investment procedures for phase 2; develop a logistics center in Cao Xa station area to serve the transportation of goods in the province and the region. Advise on implementing investment in renovating and expanding the road and waterway traffic system connecting to Cao Xa station. Hai Duong province also requested Vietnam Railway Corporation to soon invest in the construction, renovation and upgrading of Cao Xa station to complete both phases...

Comrade Trieu The Hung suggested that businesses work together to effectively implement and coordinate in improving the capacity of cargo transportation at Cao Xa station; develop a plan to bring import and export goods of businesses to gather and transport at Cao Xa station; thereby reducing costs, improving business efficiency, contributing to the growth of the railway industry and the economic growth of Hai Duong province in particular, the national economy in general...

Cao Xa Station is located on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line, in Cao An commune (Cam Giang). The station is about 5 km from the center of Hai Duong city, 2 km from Tien Kieu port, connecting with provincial roads and national highways to localities in and outside the province. Cao Xa Station is conveniently located near major industrial parks in Hai Duong (within a radius of 30 km) such as Dai An, Cam Dien, Phuc Dien, Tan Truong, Phu Thai, Lai Vu... Starting from Cao Xa station, 2 railway lines will be formed: Cao Xa - Yen Vien - Dong Dang and Cao Xa - Yen Vien - Lao Cai. From here, import and export goods of enterprises will be directly connected to Chinese railways and railways of countries on the Asia - Europe railway transport route.
