Introducing international rail freight transport solutions at Cao Xa station (Cam Giang)

Conference scene introducing solutions for transporting import and export goods by international railway at Cao Xa station, developing logistics services in Hai Duong province

Attending the conference were representatives of Associations, Business Associations, infrastructure investors of industrial parks and industrial clusters in the province and nearly 400 import-export, transportation - logistics, agricultural businesses, and domestic goods circulation in and outside the province.

Mr. Tran Van Hao, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, spoke at the conference.

At the conference, representatives of Vietnam Railway Corporation and its member units introduced an overview of Vietnam's railway network, international rail transport; introduced solutions for transporting import and export goods by international rail at Cao Xa station, and rail freight services of Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company.

Representatives of the Import-Export Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) and Hai Duong Customs Branch introduced solutions to support the implementation of procedures for certifying the origin of goods and performing customs procedures when importing and exporting goods. VietinBank Hai Duong Branch introduced comprehensive financial solutions to support import-export enterprises in production and business activities.

Also at the conference, the Organizing Committee discussed and answered businesses' opinions related to import and export by international railway at Cao Xa station, procedures for issuing certificates of origin of goods, customs procedures related to import and export at the International Railway Station, travel time by rail, etc.

The conference introducing solutions for transporting import and export goods by international railway at Cao Xa Station to develop logistics services in Hai Duong province is an activity in a series of events to support businesses and develop logistics services in Hai Duong province.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, currently, enterprises in Hai Duong province regularly have foreign trade relations with nearly 100 countries and territories. With the orientation of developing Hai Duong into a satellite center, a place to concentrate logistics services serving the production of goods in industrial parks and clusters, making logistics services one of the key economic sectors, contributing to shifting the proportion of services in the economic structure of the province.

International freight forwarding process by rail

With the operation of the Vietnam Railway industry through international intermodal transport at Cao Xa station, logistics service providers will have an additional optimal transport solution by international intermodal railway, contributing to reducing transportation costs and time of goods transportation; thereby improving competitiveness and expanding export markets in the coming time.

Vietnam Railways Corporation is urgently completing procedures to announce Cao Xa station as an international transit station and organize the first shipment scheduled for April 23, 2024 to practically celebrate the Liberation Day of the South and National Reunification on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1.

Cao Xa Station is located on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line, which is currently being upgraded by Vietnam Railways Corporation to become an international transit station with the function of a local logistics center. Cao Xa Station is conveniently located near major industrial parks in Hai Duong (within a radius of 30 km) such as Dai An, Cam Dien, Phuc Dien, Tan Truong, Phu Thai Lai Vu... Starting from Cao Xa Station, two railway lines will be formed: Cao Xa - Yen Vien - Dong Dang and Cao Xa - Yen Vien - Lao Cai. From here, import and export goods of enterprises will be directly connected to Chinese railways and railways of countries on the Asia - Europe railway transport route.
