Oil and gas enterprises are symbols of Vietnam - Russian Federation cooperation

On the first day of the working trip, the Delegation had a working session with the Party Cells of Oil and Gas units in the Russian Federation under the Party Committee of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Group).

At the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Tri Dung - Party Cell Secretary, First Deputy General Director of Rusvietpetro Joint Venture reported on the Party Cell's activities in the Russian Federation, the advantages and difficulties in leading the implementation of political tasks, Party building, and preparing for the Party Cell Congress in the spirit of Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo, along with proposals and recommendations to maintain and strengthen the leadership of the Party Committee. Some Party members in the Party Cell also spoke, expressing the thoughts, feelings, and determination of Party members living and working far from the Fatherland.

Comrade Nguyen Long Hai - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc congratulated, commended and highly appreciated the effective activities of the Party Cells of Oil and Gas units in the Russian Federation and suggested that the Party Cells continue to promote the good qualities of Communist Party of Vietnam members in the development of Petrovietnam's oil and gas career in the Russian Federation.

Speaking to receive the direction of comrade Nguyen Long Hai; at the same time, comrade Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group welcomed and acknowledged the results of the Party Cell's activities and gave specific instructions for the orientation of activities in the coming time.

With a heart towards the Fatherland, committing to the leaders of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc and the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, comrade Nguyen Tri Dung - Party Cell Secretary and the Party members of the Party Cells of the Oil and Gas units in the Russian Federation promised to make every effort to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

The delegation worked with the leaders of Zarubezhneft Company - the main partner of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in the Russian Federation.

On this occasion, the delegation had a working session with the leaders of Zarubezhneft Oil and Gas Company - Petrovietnam 's main partner in the Russian Federation, at the Company's headquarters. Receiving the delegation, on the Zarubezhneft side, there were Mr. Maksimov DN - Deputy General Director in charge of economics and finance, Mr. Sinhiugin VU - Deputy General Director in charge of renewable energy, along with leaders of Zarubezhneft's professional departments and leaders of RusVietpetro Joint Venture Company. The leaders of Zarubezhneft Company reported to the delegation on the achievements of cooperation between Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam since 1981 up to now as well as prospects for cooperation development in the future.

The delegation highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two Groups in the oil and gas sector, affirming that the two joint ventures Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro are exemplary symbols, demonstrating the successful cooperation in the economic field between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. At the same time, the head of the delegation affirmed that after the end of the working trip, he would propose to the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to create favorable conditions for Petrovietnam and Zarubezhneft to strengthen and further develop their cooperation not only in the oil and gas sector but also in other energy sectors in the two countries.

During the working trip, the delegation had meetings with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation; worked with leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation; laid flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the square named after him in Moscow; offered flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Saint Petersburg (a project invested and implemented by the Rusvietpetro Joint Venture); worked and witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between corporations and general companies of the Central Enterprises Sector with relevant partners in the Russian Federation such as the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, Vietnam National Shipping Lines, etc.

- The delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Long Hai - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc as Head of the delegation includes members of the Standing Committee, members of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, Party Committee Secretaries/Deputy Party Committee Secretaries who are also Chairmen of the Board of Directors/General Directors of large corporations and groups such as: Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG), Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), Vietnam Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC).

- The Party cell of oil and gas units in the Russian Federation is headed by comrade Nguyen Tri Dung as Secretary under the Party Committee of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. The cell consists of 3 units with a total of 26 party members/32 staff: RusVietpetro Joint Venture Company (23 party members), GazpromViet Joint Venture Company (01 party member) and the Group's Representative Office in the Russian Federation (02 party members).

- The Rusvietpetro Joint Venture Company is Petrovietnam's most effective foreign investment project. Up to now, the Company has brought the two participating parties, Petrovietnam and Zarubezhneft, a profit of over 3 billion USD. For Petrovietnam alone, the Group has transferred 533 million USD abroad to invest in Rusvietpetro, and up to now, the profit has been transferred back to the country of approximately 1.4 billion USD.
