Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center (Department of Home Affairs) has just announced the results of work in the first 4 months of 2024 and work direction for May.
Accordingly, from January 1 to April 30, the unit received 1,804 enterprises announcing the recruitment of high-quality Vietnamese workers for positions expected to recruit foreign workers, according to Decree 70/2023/ND-CP.

The Statistics Center currently has 8,149 positions (of which 993 positions are valid for 15 days), with job titles of managers, experts, and technical workers still within the recruitment period.
The average salary for these positions is 50 million VND/month.
Through monitoring, there have been 1,488 Vietnamese workers applying, but so far no one has been selected.
The reason is partly because workers do not know much about this information. In addition, the requirements of employers are high and strict, combining many factors that lead to Vietnamese workers not being able to access the job positions that are recruiting.
In the past, the center has coordinated with vocationaltraining institutions to provide vocational training support and advice to workers receiving unemployment benefits; and coordinated with companies that send workers to work abroad to advise workers who want to work abroad under contract.
The unit has also reviewed and advised the Department of Home Affairs to sign and issue 736 decisions to support vocational training for workers receiving unemployment benefits; update the training time of vocational training institutions into the vocational training software so that unemployment insurance branches can advise workers...
In April, the center received 12,376 applications for unemployment benefits, an increase of 16.36% compared to March.
In the near future, the unit plans to organize 8 job fairs; connect educational and training units to participate in job fairs and exchanges...
The Center strengthens the collection of information on labor supply and demand, forecasts the short-term labor market, and invites businesses and workers with suitable needs to participate in the job exchange to improve the connection between workers and businesses.
