Tay Ninh businesses and government join hands to promote digital transformation in the province

On the morning of September 19, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology to organize the Conference "Implementing a pilot model of signing cooperation agreements with enterprises to promote the development of digital infrastructure, digital economy, and digital society". Attending were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa; leaders of departments, branches, and sectors, along with representatives of three telecommunications enterprises VNPT, Viettel, Mobifone and leaders of communes and wards in the province.

In the first 9 months of the year, the digital transformation work at the commune level in Tay Ninh province has had many positive results. Digital transformation tasks have been deployed in a comprehensive and nationwide direction, gradually going into depth. Regarding digital infrastructure, the whole province currently has nearly 3,900 mobile broadcasting stations, of which 245 are 5G stations; 3G/4G/5G networks and fiber optic internet cover 100% of hamlets and neighborhoods, with 95.25% of households having broadband internet connection. Industrial parks and industrial clusters have gradually deployed infrastructure to serve IoT applications, production monitoring, environment and operations. At the commune level, shared digital platforms have been synchronized, such as the document management system, administrative procedure settlement, electronic information portal, and paperless meeting system. 100% of commune and ward People's Committees have deployed electronic document management systems; nearly 11,100 specialized digital certificates have been issued; more than 6,800 official email accounts have been widely used. The exchange of electronic documents has reached over 99% at both the provincial and commune levels, contributing to improving operational efficiency and reducing paperwork.

Besides the positive results, there are also some limitations such as limited coverage of 5G infrastructure; the skills of IT specialists at the commune level are not uniform; some indicators of online public services and cashless transactions are still low. The activities of the Community Digital Technology Team are still in the initial stage, without financial support, so the effectiveness is not high.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council   Nguyen Manh Hung confirm: “Digital transformation is not the task of a single industry or agency, but the cause of the entire people, under the leadership of the Party and the State. Leaders of Party committees and authorities at all levels must have the greatest desire for innovation and the highest political determination.” He suggested that localities focus on developing digital infrastructure one step ahead, covering widely from urban to rural areas; at the same time, people and businesses must be placed at the center of the process of developing the digital economy and digital society. Platforms and applications must be simple, easy to access and bring practical benefits, improving the quality of life.

Leaders of People's Committees of communes and wards participated in signing cooperation minutes with enterprises.

At the conference, representatives of 3 enterprises VNPT Tay Ninh, Viettel Tay Ninh, MobiFone Tay Ninh spoke, committed to accompanying the province in providing technology solutions, training digital skills and supporting localities to effectively implement the digital transformation model. The representative of Long An Ward People's Committee also shared the locality's determination in coordinating with enterprises to deploy and ensure the model soon comes into life. Enterprises donated each commune and ward a set of computers to be placed at the Public Administration Service Center to support people in submitting documents and making payments online.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to consider this a key political task, proactively coordinate closely with enterprises, and implement the signed contents with specific and practical plans. Businesses fulfill their commitments, provide suitable solutions, and provide visual training so that people can easily access and use them . Relevant departments and branches, especially the Department of Science and Technology, continue to play a focal role in monitoring, removing difficulties, synthesizing reports to replicate effective models.

The conference held a signing ceremony for cooperation between technology enterprises and communes and wards in the province. This is considered an important initial step to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem, where digital infrastructure is the foundation for the development of the digital economy and digital society, bringing technology closer to every household and every business. /.
