Huawei officially released its 2022 Annual Report, recording stable business performance throughout the past fiscal year with revenue reaching 92.37 billion USD and net profit reaching 5.12 billion USD.
In addition, Huawei continues to increase investment in R&D with a budget of 23.23 billion USD in 2022 - accounting for 25.1% of total annual revenue, contributing to raising the company's total R&D expenses over the past 10 consecutive years to more than 140.55 billion USD.
Speaking at the event, Eric Xu, Huawei's Rotating Chairman, said: "In 2022, the challenging external business environment and non-market factors will continue to take a toll on Huawei's operations. Steadfast in the midst of this storm, we will continue to race forward, flexibly doing everything in our power to maintain smooth business operations and best serve our customers. We will also work hard to increase revenue, create a stable source of revenue for the company to survive and strengthen the foundation for future growth."
At the event, Huawei said that it has always been a strong advocate of joint development with ecosystem partners, and believes that an open and collaborative spirit will lead to shared success and prosperity. The company has continued to expand its platform capabilities across HarmonyOS, Kunpeng, Ascend, and its cloud portfolio, focusing on improving the developer experience, as well as connecting and supporting ecosystem partners across all fronts. Huawei is currently working with over 9 million developers and over 40,000 partners, to drive ecosystem-based innovation and bring greater value to customers.
