Rename the Steering Committee for implementing measures to prevent and combat waste of the Hanoi People's Committee

Kinhtedothi - On March 11, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed and issued Decision No. 1349/QD-UBND on adjusting the Decision to establish the Steering Committee on implementing measures to prevent and combat waste of Hanoi People's Committee.

The decision also completes the members of the Steering Committee for Waste Prevention and Control of the Hanoi People's Committee. Accordingly, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, will be the Head of the Steering Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, will be the Standing Deputy Head; and the Vice Chairmen of the Hanoi People's Committee will be the Deputy Heads of the Committee.

Adjust and supplement the functions, tasks and powers of the Steering Committee. Specifically, the Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization, with the function of assisting the Hanoi People's Committee in researching, directing and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral tasks related to waste prevention and combat, proposing solutions to effectively resolve specific areas, tasks and contents to prevent and combat waste.

Assist the Hanoi People's Committee in directing and coordinating between the city's departments, branches and relevant agencies and organizations in resolving important inter-sectoral issues to implement the directions of the Central Government and the Hanoi Party Committee on preventing and combating waste and implementing other important tasks and solutions in preventing and combating waste of economic resources in Hanoi.

It is responsible for assisting the Hanoi People's Committee in synthesizing, updating, reviewing, developing, promulgating, operating, and effectively organizing the implementation of plans to implement measures to prevent and combat waste in Hanoi in 2025 and the following years.
