The President expressed his deep impression of the scale, stature, and achievements that Vingroup has attained, contributing to the development of Vietnam's economy. He highly appreciated the green mobility ecosystem that Vingroup has developed, with the VinFast electric car brand as its core. To date, in addition to launching many different car models, VinFast is also strongly present in international markets, including India - a neighboring country of Sri Lanka. He believes that Sri Lanka will also be a potential market for VinFast electric vehicles.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake noted that, in addition to green mobility, Vingroup has significant potential for diversified investments in Sri Lanka. He also highlighted investment opportunities in Vingroup's areas of strength, such as tourism , finance, and real estate, particularly in Colombo – Sri Lanka's largest city. The President stated that the Sri Lankan government is waiving many taxes and fees to attract investment and develop the city.
