Sri Lankan President encourages Vingroup to invest in Sri Lankan real estate and tourism

Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang - Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup Corporation and leaders of member companies.

At the meeting, Vingroup leaders introduced an overview of the development process, comprehensive green transformation strategy and outstanding achievements of the Group in its fields of operation.

The President expressed his deep impression of the scale, stature and achievements that Vingroup has achieved, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese economy. He highly appreciated the green mobility ecosystem that Vingroup has developed, with the core being the VinFast electric car brand. Up to now, besides launching many different car models, VinFast is also strongly present in the international market, including India - a neighboring country of Sri Lanka. He believes that Sri Lanka will also be a potential market for VinFast electric cars.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that besides green mobility, Vingroup has great potential to invest in many industries in Sri Lanka; at the same time, he noted Vingroup's investment opportunities in the Group's strengths, such as tourism , finance and real estate, especially in Colombo - the largest city in Sri Lanka. The President said that the Sri Lankan Government is exempting many types of taxes and fees to attract investment to develop this city.

On Vingroup's side, Vice Chairman and General Director Nguyen Viet Quang expressed his honor to welcome President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the high-ranking delegation of Sri Lanka. He emphasized that Sri Lanka is a beautiful island nation with great potential for development, and Vingroup will seek suitable investment opportunities in the future.
