Playing away at Nepal, however, the Vietnamese women's team had no difficulty controlling the match. Coach Mai Duc Chung's team easily opened the score thanks to Hai Yen in the 11th minute.

In extra time, Thanh Nha's beautiful long-range shot sealed a 5-1 victory for the Vietnamese women's team.
