Leveraging opportunities to boost tourism in Da Nang.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is a world-class cultural and artistic event that not only attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each year but also contributes to promoting the local tourism and service industry.

The service and tourism sectors are thriving.

To cater to tourists during the DIFF 2025 and the summer season, accommodation establishments and entertainment venues are implementing numerous attractive activities, injecting unprecedented vibrancy and excitement into Da Nang's tourism development. Sun Group 's parks and resorts in Da Nang are organizing a series of engaging and diverse accompanying events to attract visitors. Notably, at Ba Na Hills, visitors can immerse themselves in colorful flower festivals such as the Sunflower Festival, the Rose Festival, the Sun Kraft Beer 2025 Fresh Beer and Culinary Festival, and experience innovative culinary projects: a wine cellar, a French bread factory, and an ice cream factory… At Danang Downtown, traditional and modern festivals and music concerts promise to keep the city's nightlife hotspot shining.

At the Than Tai Mountain Hot Spring Park tourist area, in addition to typical services such as hot spring bathing, mineral mud baths, and water park activities, the resort has launched many interesting check-in attractions such as: visiting the bird garden - mushroom garden, the love forest, exploring the camping area with tent rentals or outdoor BBQ buffet packages... Especially, the tourist area offers the Animal Actors entertainment show with monkey and python circus performances, interaction with parrots, photo opportunities with three-headed dinosaurs, and a parade of the God of Fortune and the 12 zodiac animals…

In conjunction with the city, the Da Nang Tourism Association has developed many tour programs around DIFF 2025: all-inclusive tours including sightseeing and fireworks viewing, food tours plus fireworks viewing tickets, hotel room and fireworks viewing ticket combos, or even just distributing fireworks viewing tickets… They have been communicating, promoting, and selling these tour programs since after the Lunar New Year. “The agencies are planning sales and advising tourists on arranging itineraries and departure times so that tourists can fully experience their time in Da Nang and enjoy the spectacular fireworks displays.”

The Da Nang Travel Association is participating in the "Enjoy Summer" festival program, taking place concurrently with DIFF at the East Sea Park, with two booths and numerous promotional programs, mini-games with prizes, and unique tour programs combining cultural and culinary exploration for domestic and international tourists. Simultaneously, the Travel Association is also organizing water sports activities such as a barefoot race on the beach… and other artistic activities as part of the "Enjoy Summer" event series,” said Ho Thanh Tu, President of the Da Nang Travel Association.

Driving force for city tourism.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of the Da Nang City Hotel Association, since 2008, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has become an iconic "brand event" of the city. Throughout this period, despite interruptions during Covid-19, DIFF has not only contributed to promoting the image of a dynamic and hospitable Da Nang, but also acted as a "catalyst" to stimulate domestic and international tourism, helping Da Nang become one of the fastest-recovering and fastest-growing destinations in Vietnam in terms of both international and domestic tourist arrivals.

Mr. Quynh stated: “This event helps Da Nang attract millions of visitors every year, especially in the summer, the peak season for both domestic and international tourists. As a result, service sectors such as accommodation, food, transportation, shopping, and entertainment have all seen positive changes, creating jobs and increasing revenue for the locality. In particular, DIFF encourages businesses to create new tourism products and improve services. Along with the diverse activities of the Summer Enjoyment Festival organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it creates a vibrant festival season with a strong ripple effect. Clearly, DIFF has created a distinct tourism image for Da Nang compared to other destinations.”

According to Ho Thanh Tu, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, DIFF is a festival that domestic and international tourists, as well as local people, eagerly anticipate during the summer. On the nights before and during the fireworks display, accommodations are almost fully booked; restaurants, entertainment venues, transportation services, etc., operate at full capacity on weekends when the fireworks festival takes place.

Mr. Tu believes that the number of participating teams in DIFF is increasing year by year, and the performances are becoming more elaborate, demonstrating the appeal and development of DIFF, contributing to the growth and development of tourism in Da Nang. According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, DIFF 2025 is expected to contribute to revitalizing Da Nang tourism this summer. Da Nang expects to welcome 4-4.5 million visitors this summer, an increase of 12-15% compared to the same period in 2024.

As the coordinating unit for the Da Nang People's Committee in organizing DIFF, Mr. Huynh Nam Thang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Sun Group Central Region, stated that with the theme "Da Nang - A New Era," DIFF 2025 promises to be not only the longest and largest fireworks display in DIFF history, with the most performance nights and participating teams ever, but also aims to provide top-notch, emotionally charged experiences for audiences thanks to groundbreaking technological innovations combined with impressive artistic, musical, and sporting performances. DIFF 2025 will continue to elevate Da Nang's reputation internationally and make it an attractive regional and global tourist destination every summer.
