(QNO) - On the afternoon of May 28, the People's Committee of Dong Giang district launched a 60-day peak period to focus on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses (from May 28 to July 28).

Mr. Do Huu Tung - Acting Chairman of Dong Giang District People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district called on communes, towns, agencies and departments in the district to strive to complete the elimination of 291 temporary houses within 60 days.

Specifically, phase 1 (from May 28 to June 28) strives to complete 222 houses; phase 2 (from June 28 to July 28) completes the remaining 69 houses.

Mr. Tung also called on all cadres, party members, civil servants, armed forces and people to join hands and promote the tradition of solidarity, through practical actions such as contributing labor days to transport materials, labor days to build houses... to help people build houses.

Communes and towns assign members of the commune-level steering committee to be in charge of villages and residential groups to monitor, urge, and supervise the progress of house construction of each household. Assign cadres to coordinate with households to speed up the progress of starting and completing the construction of new houses.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Committee of Dong Giang district, along with other sectors and localities, attended the groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for Mr. A Ral Thong's family (Co Tu ethnic group) in Ta Vac residential group, Prao town.
