Business Connection Coffee
From June 2023, every Saturday morning, the leaders of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province will take turns meeting and exchanging with the local business community at the Ca Mau Startup Space (No. 28 Phan Ngoc Hien Street, Ward 2, Ca Mau City). Through the activities of meeting and exchanging at the business connection coffee session, the leaders of Ca Mau province will promptly grasp the difficulties and problems of the local business community so that they can find timely solutions to help businesses operate more effectively.
The Government has been paying attention to and preparing for and investing in a number of key projects in Ca Mau province, such as the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway; the national highway bypass through Ca Mau city; the Khanh An freshwater lake complex (U Minh district); upgrading Ca Mau airport to serve the direct flight route from Ca Mau to Hanoi and vice versa. At the same time, Ca Mau province is also calling for investment in a number of large-scale projects such as the Hon Khoai international seaport; Dam Thi Tuong eco-tourism area; service and sports projects at Lot A2 - Ca Mau province sports complex; investment projects to build residential areas combined with trade and services; investment in infrastructure of industrial parks.
Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that he will direct the overcoming of barriers affecting the development of enterprises; continue to promote investment attraction, create a favorable production and business environment for enterprises; always listen and remove difficulties for enterprises; always accompany enterprises to create the best and most favorable conditions for enterprises to operate.
Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet also hopes to receive the sharing and companionship of entrepreneurs, enterprises, and investors with the provincial government in implementing the Project to improve the investment and business environment, enhance provincial competitiveness, actively improve the score and ranking of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI); contributing to the successful implementation of the Digital Transformation Project of Ca Mau province to 2025, with a vision to 2030.
Promoting digital transformation
Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee said that in recent times, digital transformation in the province has achieved certain results, especially in digital economic activities, such as: the proportion of e-commerce in total retail sales is over 8% (exceeding the target set for 2023 of 8%); the rate of enterprises using electronic invoices is 100%; the number of people and enterprises using non-cash payments has developed, especially in the fields of education, health, tourism; implementing the 69-day and night peak campaign "Improving the efficiency of using online public services in Ca Mau province"...
The outstanding results achieved brought Ca Mau province to 85.54/100 points on the Index of Service Quality Assessment for People and Enterprises in Performing Administrative Procedures and Providing Public Services in the Electronic Environment.
According to Mr. Tran Quoc Chinh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ca Mau province, digital transformation has become a global trend and is strongly affecting all aspects of social life. Along with digital transformation is the process of overall and comprehensive change of organizations and individuals in the way of living, working and management, production and business methods based on the application of digital technology. The leaders of Ca Mau province assessed that data is an extremely important factor, serving the management and operation of all levels of government, and at the same time is a valuable asset that helps businesses take actions faster and more effectively.
In particular, data can be used to predict and forecast future trends and events. Data and customers have become the two most valuable assets of businesses in the digital transformation era. With the importance of digital transformation, the leaders of Ca Mau province hope that businesses and people will pay attention, and together with the provincial government, promote the implementation of digital transformation, focusing on "digitalization, construction, connection, and sharing of data between ministries, branches, and localities; protecting personal data; exploiting and using data to better serve people and businesses".
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi has just signed and issued a plan to develop e-commerce and digital transformation in trade promotion activities of Ca Mau province in 2024. Accordingly, implementing solutions to support and promote the widespread application of e-commerce in enterprises, production and business establishments and communities in the province; promoting cross-border e-commerce transactions to support enterprises to boost exports.
The goal is to strive for the province's e-commerce index (EBI) to increase in rank and score compared to 2023; Ca Mau province's e-commerce trading floor (madeincamau.com) to have at least 180 traders in the province participating; the province's 3-star OCOP products to be put on the province's e-commerce floor...
