Dong Nai: Received nearly 18 billion VND to support people affected by storm No. 10

On October 14, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province announced that from October 3 to the afternoon of October 13, the unit received more than 4,500 donations to help people in provinces and cities overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 (Bualoi), with a total amount of more than 17.9 billion VND.

Call for support for compatriots affected by storm No. 10

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, in September, the East Sea was hit by four consecutive storms, of which storm No. 10 caused heavy losses in human lives and property in the Northern and Central provinces. The total estimated damage as of October 2 was over VND11,000 billion.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province calls on all walks of life, cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, businesses and philanthropists to donate money or goods to help people in disaster-stricken areas restore their lives soon. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province pledges to use all donations for the right purposes, effectively, openly and transparently.

Vedan Vietnam donates 1 billion VND to help people overcome storms and floods

On the afternoon of October 14, Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung, Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai province, said that Vedan Vietnam Joint Stock Company has donated 1 billion VND through the provincial Red Cross Society to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, especially the recent storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in the campaign "Join hands to overcome floods", Mr. Ni Chih Hao, General Director of Vedan Vietnam, on behalf of the board of directors and all officers and employees, presented 1 billion VND to the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai province.

“The spirit of mutual love is a core value in Vedan’s culture. When people face natural disasters, it is the responsibility of the enterprise to take practical actions. We believe that with the joint efforts of the whole society, people in the flood-affected areas will soon stabilize their lives,” said Mr. Ni Chih Hao.

Along with the above contribution, Vedan Vietnam also launched the "Love and Care" program, calling on all staff to continue spreading the spirit of sharing, supporting more in kind and cash to help people in disaster areas overcome difficulties. It is known that in 2024, Vedan Vietnam also donated 1 billion VND to help people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, contributing to spreading the spirit of "the rich help the poor" in the business community.

Goods and necessities are being prepared to be delivered to people in flood-affected areas.

In Long Hai commune, Ho Chi Minh City, many agencies, units, businesses and people are also joining hands to donate necessities, household items, drinking water, and medicine to prepare to support the people in the North affected by storms and floods. Of which, as of October 13, Phuong Vy Import Export Company Limited has received more than 50 tons of goods including rice, instant noodles, milk, drinking water, cakes, medicine, and many necessities.

It is expected that the loving truck carrying necessities will arrive at Cao Bang on October 17 to share the hardship.
