The PGS organic product display and sales store and Dong Thap specialties were built with the support of The Nippon Foundation (Japan) to support farmers in the preparation, processing, preservation and consumption of organic agricultural products, while providing consumers with safe and quality products.

Since 2019, with the support of The Nippon Foundation, organic agricultural production in Dong Thap has made a lot of progress. In the province, 8 vegetable production groups have been established with 22 participating households, covering an area of ​​5.3 hectares, and 3 safe mango production groups have been established in Cao Lanh district with 19 participating households, covering an area of ​​more than 16 hectares.

Mr. Huynh Tat Dat, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dong Thap said: In recent times, The Nippon Foundation has accompanied and supported the agricultural sector of Dong Thap in building a store to display and trade PGS organic products and OCOP specialties, as well as gradually developing agriculture in a safe and sustainable direction. At the same time, The Nippon Foundation also committed to continue to coordinate in implementing the goals of the Organic Agriculture Development Project in a sustainable manner, thereby contributing to expanding the market for organic agricultural products and specialties of the Red Lotus land.
