Dortmund rescues Sancho from Man Utd

Dortmund have loaned out striker Jadon Sancho, who is currently isolated from the first team, after reaching an agreement with Man Utd on a contract until the end of the season.

The deal is not yet complete, but British and German media have reported that the parties have reached an agreement, only waiting to finalize the loan fee. According to German newspaper Bild , Dortmund only spent a total of about 3.3 million USD on this contract, including the loan fee and a part of Sancho's salary.

This is a bargain for Dortmund, as Sancho is currently earning $23 million a year at Man Utd. That means the German club only has to pay a small portion of the English striker's salary, while Man Utd still has to pay the majority of the money. However, British media have not confirmed that the two teams have agreed on a price for this deal.

Sancho is expected to fly to the coastal city of Marbella, Spain, where Dortmund is gathering to prepare for the second phase of the season. He will reunite with many old teammates, have the opportunity to compete and compete for a place in Euro 2024. Because if he stays at Man Utd, Sancho will not be able to train with the first team, because he is being quarantined by coach Erik ten Hag.

Sancho rose to prominence in Dortmund's 2017-2021 season. Sancho also publicly protested Ten Hag on social media, implying that the Dutch coach had lied about his poor training. In response, the 54-year-old coach banned Sancho from interacting with the first team and did not allow him to use the team's facilities unless he apologized to the coach. Sancho rejected this solution and has not played since.
