Recently, at the conference to launch the Project to support the improvement of the quality of care, nurturing and education of preschool children in industrial parks and industrial clusters in Ho Chi Minh City, period 2025-2028 organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department informed that this project has about 11,000 children benefiting.
The project, with a budget of 4.7 billion VND, is funded by OneSky Organization as a non-refundable grant under the approval decision of the Ministry of Education and Training, to improve the quality of nurturing, caring for, and educating preschool children at private independent preschools in areas with industrial parks, industrial clusters, and export processing zones.
Train 60 reporters, 442 teachers and select 1 model for preschool children
Ms. Luong Thi Hong Diep - Head of Preschool Education Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training - provided specific information on project implementation.
First, 60 reporters will be selected to participate in training courses on implementing preschool education programs, care and teaching methods, and skills to organize an educational environment suitable for children.
"On the teachers' side, 442 teachers and caregivers working at private independent preschools will be selected for training to improve their capacity. All will receive online training and education implemented by the Ministry of Education and Training .
It is expected that about 11,000 children will benefit from this activity. Among them, there will be a typical private independent preschool as a pilot model of the project, from which it will be replicated in other units," Ms. Diep informed.
According to the Department of Education and Training, the project will be implemented from October 2025 to June 2028, in 15 wards and communes, including: Tan Thuan ward, Tan Thoi Hiep ward, Tay Thanh ward, Tan Tao ward, Binh Tan ward, Tam Binh ward, Linh Xuan ward, Tang Nhon Phu ward, Vinh Loc commune, Tan Vinh Loc commune, Binh Loi commune, Tan Nhut commune, Tan An Hoi commune, Cu Chi commune, Hiep Phuoc commune.
Commitment not to increase tuition fees
According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the project has a roadmap with annual tasks.
Specifically, in 2025, select reporters and teachers. In 2026, organize periodic training for city-level core staff; select 1 facility as a pilot model of the project.
In 2027, continue to organize regular training, professional workshops and monitor implementation; apply information technology in managing children's records, monitoring and evaluating children's comprehensive development. In 2028, summarize the project.
During the implementation process, the Department requires the pilot model to improve facilities, build a friendly and safe educational environment, and coordinate with OneSky Organization to maintain operational efficiency.
In particular, we commit to not increasing tuition fees during the project period and maintaining it for at least 5 years after completion, as well as proactively welcoming visiting delegations and sharing experiences.
