Domestic pepper prices updated on the afternoon of June 9, 2025

As of June 9, the domestic and international pepper markets were stable and flat compared to the last trading session of the week. However, according to experts, in the short term, the pepper market tends to continue to decline.

Meanwhile, in the context of Vietnam's pepper output trending down, many farmers are proactively keeping their goods in warehouses waiting for prices, the shortage of goods further tilts the supply-demand balance towards sellers. This is considered a factor that can support pepper prices in the medium and long term.

However, in the short term, the market outlook remains bleak. Experts predict that if the downward trend continues, pepper prices this week may slide to VND140,000/kg.

Farmers in Dak Nong province harvest pepper

According to experts, whether Vietnam's pepper exports and pepper prices will be good or not in the coming time depends mainly on supply and demand. Vietnam's pepper output is on the decline, while farmers are proactively keeping pepper in storage, which will further tilt the market advantage towards the seller.

According to market analysts, domestic pepper prices have fallen sharply due to low demand and still-secured supply. Meanwhile, tax barriers have not been removed, making the market cautious. However, looking at the long-term strategy, pepper prices are still showing positive progress thanks to the strategy of expanding the market and promoting deep processing.
