Tourists see 3D Mapping for the first time on the hottest 125-year-old building in Da Nang

On April 25, Da Nang Museum introduced new features for visitors to experience the unique 3D Mapping film program on the occasion of April 30 - May 1.

This is a film screening program with the theme "The Story of Da Nang" using 3D Mapping technology on the facade of the Da Nang Museum building (42 Bach Dang, Hai Chau District).

This facade is the Governor's Palace, the City Hall built during the French period, operating since 1900, now 125 years old.

In particular, the film "The Story of Da Nang" uses specialized equipment to project light directly onto the surface of this newly restored ancient building, combined with sound to create a 3D Mapping effect.

This is the first time this technology has been shown outdoors in Da Nang City, with a combination of sound - light - vivid visual effects, to recreate the story of history - culture - the desire for continuous development of Da Nang City.

"The Story of Da Nang" consists of 3 consecutive parts, introducing the history of formation and development of Da Nang city throughout historical periods. Specifically:

Part 1 - (The Origin of Da Nang) recreates the process of formation of the land, residents and historical developments from prehistoric and early historical periods to ancient and medieval periods, associated with ancient kingdoms, especially the cultural imprints of Sa Huynh, Champa, Dai Viet...

Part 2 (The Epic of Struggle) recreates the long struggle of the army and people of Da Nang against Western colonialism led by France (1858 - 1954) and the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954 - 1975); at the same time, it recreates the process of formation and development of Da Nang city.

Part 3 (Rising) recreates the construction and development of Da Nang City after the liberation on March 29, 1975; the marks and achievements when it became a centrally-governed city in 1997. In particular, the period when the city transformed itself in the era of integration and development, becoming one of the leading economic , cultural and social centers of the country and the region.

The 3D Mapping movie screening program takes place on 3 nights: April 29, 30 and May 1, with 2 screenings from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm and from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm each night at the front area of 42 Bach Dang.
