Thousands of tourists visit the Imperial Citadel on September 2 |
Thu Huyen's family (Phong Dien) took advantage of the early morning arrival in Hue to check-in at the heritage site: "The weather was very nice. We arrived here at 6:30, waiting for the Imperial City to open. I didn't expect that even though we went so early, there would still be so many tourists."
At 7:30 a.m., the parking lots for cars and motorbikes at Nam Xuong and Nam Thang parking lots inside Cua Ngan area are gradually full. On this occasion, in addition to the number of tourists coming to Hue on tours from other places, Hue Imperial City also welcomes many groups of family and friends visiting Hue for tourism .
At 8am, right in front of Ngo Mon Gate, the changing of the guard ceremony took place, attracting thousands of visitors. Mr. Le Van Hung, from Soc Trang, was delighted to witness and experience the unique changing of the guard ceremony when visiting the Hue heritage site for the first time.

“I was very surprised because Hue Imperial City is so beautiful. If I have the chance, I will take my whole family to visit Hue during Tet so that my children can learn about the history, architectural heritage values and enjoy activities recreating the royal life of the Nguyen Dynasty,” Mr. Hung expressed.

Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC), said that on September 2, according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council, the relic sites belonging to the Hue Monuments Complex will be open free of charge to all Vietnamese people and tourists. This is also an opportunity for the Hue Monuments Complex to introduce the heritage sites to a large number of tourists and local people. From 7am, the Hue Citadel was bustling with tourists, very crowded.
On this occasion, Hue Monuments Conservation Center still organizes activities such as the changing of the guard ceremony, art performances at Duyet Thi Duong Theater, services, and experiential games in heritage sites... Previously, Hue Monuments Conservation Center had a plan to increase services and security forces to ensure security and order as well as environmental sanitation on the occasion of National Day, September 2, to welcome guests most thoughtfully.
