Cao Phong Tourism - More options to attract visitors

As a land blessed by nature with beautiful landscapes with hundreds of caves, waterfalls, pristine grass hills and cultural spaces imbued with identity, some destinations of Cao Phong district are likened to "fairyland" or " tourist paradise". Clearly identifying the potential and advantages, in recent years, Cao Phong district has continuously invested in embellishing, preserving and enhancing the value of scenic spots and relics to exploit and develop tourism.

The Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists (Meddom Park) in Bac Phong Commune (Cao Phong) is one of the attractive destinations for visitors of all ages.

About 10 years ago, when mentioning tourist attractions in Cao Phong district, the cultural and tourism management officers of the district could count them on their fingers: Cu Chinh Lan Heroic Historical Site, Bo Temple, Hoa Binh Lake Ecotourism, Muong Hamlet Mo, Quen Ang Pagoda Historical - Cultural Site, Dau Rong Mountain Cave Complex... but now, the destinations have increased many times. These are Tien Hamlet Community Tourism, Thung Nai Commune; Hop Phong - Dung Phong - Thach Yen tourist route (Coi Mountain Flower Garden, Hop Phong Commune; Khanh Pagoda, Rom Khanh Hamlet, Thach Yen Commune); Cao Phong - Hop Phong Town tourist route (orange and sugarcane garden ecotourism; Can Thuong Lake tourism; Muong ethnic ancient village Can Hamlet, Mung Hamlet, Hop Phong Commune); Vietnam Scientists Heritage Park tourist route, Bac Phong Commune; National scenic area of Dau Rong mountain cave complex, Thuong Bong Lai temple, Dong Son temple, Cao Phong town...

In mid-July, Cao Phong Company Limited opened a new tourism product, the Ha Den vineyard tourist destination in Zone 4, Cao Phong town, to serve visitors to visit and experience. The vineyard opens from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day. Visitors to the vineyard are free to enter, take photos, check-in in the garden, and buy grapes in the garden. Visitors are instructed by the company's technical staff on how to plant and care for grapes if they want to experience... When the opening of the vineyard was announced, many people expressed their surprise. Because for a long time, to experience a vineyard tour, they often had to go to the South Central Coast - Ninh Thuan, but now they only need to travel a few dozen kilometers to admire, experience and buy fresh bunches of grapes in a garden of nearly 3,000 square meters. The important thing is to feel happy and excited when traveling to Cao Phong with an additional highlight.

Sharing about the development roadmap of the "smokeless industry" in Cao Phong, comrade Pham Ngoc Nhat, Head of the District Culture and Information Department, said: "With the attention of the provincial and district Party Committees and authorities, the close support and companionship of the Department of Culture and Tourism and the consensus of the people, the journey of developing cultural and ecological tourism in Cao Phong was soon opened. In 2017, community tourism began to form and develop in a number of communes, contributing to creating job opportunities for people, increasing revenue and promoting local development. The people working together in tourism, preserving culture, exploiting services and introducing destinations to tourists contributes to creating a foundation for sustainable tourism development."

To complete the goals, strive to make tourism and services become the spearhead economic sector of the district by 2025; the average growth of tourism and services reaches 15% or more, bringing the proportion of the sector to 30% by 2025 and 40% by 2030, the district has been focusing on implementing key groups of tasks and solutions such as: Continuing to promote propaganda to raise awareness of tourism development. Focusing on mobilizing resources to invest in building infrastructure, especially transportation systems, ports, telecommunications infrastructure... according to the plan. On the one hand, promoting socialization of investment in building tourism technical infrastructure; building eco-resorts associated with high-quality entertainment services, historical - cultural relics, community tourism areas and spots, spiritual tourism, creating diverse and attractive tours and routes to attract tourists. Building typical local tourism products; Improve the quality of spiritual tourism in Hoa Binh Lake tourist area, Thuong Bong Lai Temple, Dong Son Temple in Cao Phong town; Khanh Pagoda in Thach Yen commune; Quen Ang Pagoda, Mo Muong cultural space in Hop Phong commune.

Up to now, the district has established 88 Muong ethnic cultural clubs in communes and residential areas; preserved over 1,600 gongs; nearly 100 traditional stilt houses in the community and many tools, labor, production and living utensils of the Muong people. Tourism promotion and development is always of interest. In 2023, Cao Phong district welcomed over 331,800 visitors and tourists (over 3,000 international visitors, over 328,800 domestic visitors), an increase of 114.4% compared to 2022. In the first 6 months of 2024, the district welcomed over 225,000 tourists (3,315 international visitors, 221,815 domestic visitors), equal to 101.4% compared to the same period in 2023. With the growth of each year higher than the previous year, it is a premise for Cao Phong district to build tours, routes, and tourist spots in the area to become attractive, safe, friendly and attractive destinations.
