Da Nang tourism through kimchi land invites Korean tourists to return

DNVN – On July 8, in Seoul, Da Nang organized a tourism promotion program and officially launched the Enjoy Da Nang Again campaign to attract Korean tourists to return to this city.

The program was organized within the framework of the investment and tourism promotion trip of the Da Nang City delegation in Korea, aiming to introduce and update information on new and unique tourism products, especially for this market. At the same time, it created opportunities for tourism businesses in Da Nang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue to expand and connect business with partners in Korea.

More than 70 guests, including representatives of airlines, travel agencies, MICE, golf, wedding tourism organizers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) and Korean press agencies, along with Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho and Vice President of the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA) BAEK Seung Pil, attended the program.

According to Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, the number of Korean tourists to the city has grown impressively in the first half of 2024. In the first 6 months of 2024, the total number of Korean visitors staying in Da Nang reached 822,765, accounting for more than 41% of the total structure of international visitors to Da Nang.

This figure has reached the total number of Korean visitors to Da Nang in 2023 (935 thousand) and reached nearly 50% of the total number of Korean visitors in 2019, the peak period of Da Nang tourism. "This is a testament to the love of Korean tourists for Da Nang as well as the attractiveness of the destination from the constant innovation in products and service quality," said Mr. Tran Chi Cuong.

Informing Korean partners, Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh said that in early 2024, the city announced many new products to serve tourists such as Bach Dang walking street and Nguyen Van Troi walking bridge, Da Nang flower street, Danang Downtown entertainment complex, launching Jetski & Flyboard show, art show with fireworks every night...

More than 70 Korean guests attended the program.

At the same time, organize a series of special events and festivals such as the 2024 DIFF international fireworks festival, Asian Film Festival, Enjoy Da Nang festival, Vietnam - Korea festival, 2024 Asian Development Golf Tournament...

Da Nang continues to focus on target market segments including MICE tourism, golf tourism, wedding tourism and culinary tourism, issuing a pilot program to attract wedding tourists in 2024 - 2025. Accordingly, couples holding tourist weddings in Da Nang will receive support and incentives from the welcome program at the airport or hotel, souvenir gifts and entrance tickets to tourist attractions and other attractive services...

At this program, Da Nang also officially announced the "Enjoy Da Nang Again" campaign starting from July 15 until the end of 2024. Enjoy Da Nang Again offers many souvenirs and preferential packages for Korean tourists returning to this city for the second time since 2020, in response to the love of Korean tourists for the destination of Da Nang, and to bring visitors more complete and interesting experiences.

“With many new attractive products and services, regular cooperation and exchanges between Da Nang and Korean tourism partners, especially with the Enjoy Da Nang Again campaign, Da Nang is determined to maintain its position in the eyes of Korean tourists, not only as a unique destination but also as a “second home” with many inspiring and meaningful travel stories,” Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh emphasized.
