During the April 30 and May 1 holidays, many people in Ha Tinh were still enthusiastic about new rural construction activities.

In Bac Thuong village (Thach Dai commune, Ha Tinh city), from early morning on the first day of the holiday, people gathered at the village cultural house to assign work. Some swept the streets, some arranged flower beds and ornamental plants, some trimmed green hedges... Everyone worked with a high sense of responsibility.

Youth union members of Bac Thuong village also enthusiastically participated in this meaningful activity.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Head of Bac Thuong village, everyone wants to rest on holidays, but seeing that the roads are not clean and beautiful, people have been aware of each other and have urged each other to clean them up.

Coming to Duc Tho town these days, the picture of a civilized urban area is increasingly clear because the new rural construction movement is still maintained regularly by local people.

From houses, roads, and welfare works, all levels of the association and the people are regularly cleaned and renovated, creating a green - clean - beautiful living environment.

Mr. Nghiem Xuan Ngo (right) in Dai Nghia residential area, Duc Tho town said: "Defining that building a new rural area is a regular task, aiming to improve the quality of life, therefore, regardless of weekdays or holidays, whenever we have time, we take the opportunity to tidy up village roads and alleys, and clean our houses."

Without anyone telling them, the people of Duc Tho town joined hands to carry out the work of building new rural areas in the locality.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tam - Secretary of the Party Cell of Dai Nghia Residential Area, Duc Tho Town shared: " Although it has soon achieved the standard of a model residential area, becoming a bright spot in building a new rural area, people still regularly mobilize to upgrade and consolidate the criteria. On the occasion of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, more than 100 people from all levels of the association were mobilized to participate in carrying out tasks. In particular, focusing on renovating public works, traffic roads, hanging more than 120 national flags, Party flags...".

In village 1 (An Phu commune, Vu Quang), the people also maintain the new rural construction activities.

"On this occasion, my family and neighbors together cleaned the road in front of our house, planted more flowers to make the road greener - cleaner - more beautiful. Seeing the face of the countryside change every day, everyone is happy" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (resident of village 1, An Phu commune) shared.

People in village 1 - Van Giang (Duc Giang commune, Vu Quang) take advantage of the holidays to do gardening. For the people here, production and economic development activities are always maintained. This helps people improve their income and create more conditions to join hands with all levels to carry out movements and tasks.

In Cam Quang commune (Cam Xuyen), sidewalk beautification and environmental sanitation activities were also carried out synchronously in all villages. The active participation of associations, unions and all people created a vibrant atmosphere to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The practical activities of the people during the holidays not only contribute to changing the appearance of the villages but also enhance the neighborly love, turning important holidays into days of dedication and construction, for an increasingly spacious, beautiful and civilized rural appearance.
