FPT Play exclusively broadcasts the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship
The tournament, which will take place from July 15 to 29 in Indonesia, will see the defending champions Vietnam U23 team attempt to claim their third crown at the region’s premier tournament. The 2025 Mandiri Cup is the 5th time organized by the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF), gathering 10 regional U23 teams, competing at two major stadiums: Gelora Bung Karno (Jakarta) and Patriot Candrabhaga (Bekasi), Indonesia.

According to the draw results, U23 Vietnam is in Group B with Laos and Cambodia. Group A includes hosts Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Brunei Darussalam, while Group C includes Thailand, Myanmar and Timor Leste. The teams will compete in a round-robin format, with the top three teams and the best second-placed team advancing to the semi-finals. The semi-finals and finals are scheduled to take place on July 25 and 29 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
In the group stage, U23 Vietnam will face U23 Laos (July 19) and U23 Cambodia (July 22). Coach Kim Sang Sik will announce the list of 23 players before departure. With a favorable group and consecutive championship achievements in 2022 and 2023, U23 Vietnam is expected to continue to dominate this tournament.
