FUJIFILM Vietnam launches ''CAD EYE ™ artificial intelligence solution applied to upper gastrointestinal endoscopy''

On April 22, 2023, at the 7th National Endoscopy Conference held in Quang Ninh , Fujifilm Vietnam Company launched the "CAD EYE ™ Artificial Intelligence Solution applied to upper gastrointestinal endoscopy".

Vietnam will be the third country to launch the "CAD EYE™ Solution for Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy", after Japan and India.

This is an upgraded version of the Artificial Intelligence Solution applied to lower gastrointestinal endoscopy - currently widely used in major hospitals in European countries, Japan and countries in the Asia- Pacific region.

Mr. Tatsuhiko Saeki, Business Director of Endoscopy Business of Fujifilm Healthcare Corporation said: “With the CAD EYE ™ artificial intelligence solution applied to upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, we hope to expand the comprehensive solution for gastrointestinal endoscopy. Our vision in the coming years is to bring advanced medical technology to the Vietnamese people, supporting the increase in the rate of early cancer detection, especially gastrointestinal cancer, one of the most common cancers in Vietnam”.

This solution can be applied to enhanced imaging modes, including: White light mode, Linked Color Imaging (LCI) mode and Blue Light Imaging (BLI) mode integrated on Fujifilm endoscopy systems.

In addition, a series of new features have been developed in this solution to support doctors during esophagogastroduodenoscopy procedures. When the doctor takes an endoscopic image, the Landmark Photo Checker feature is immediately activated, allowing doctors to more closely observe important landmarks in the stomach, significantly reducing the rate of missing lesions. All these features are integrated into a single block and displayed on the same endoscopy screen, providing “Comprehensive AI support” for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy - a new era of AI for gastrointestinal endoscopy has begun.
