Da Nang Station welcomes the first high-quality train from Hanoi to Da Nang

DNO - At noon on October 21, Da Nang Station officially welcomed the first high-quality train SE19 with more than 160 passengers arriving at the station. This is one of the high-quality train pair SE19/SE20 on the Hanoi - Da Nang route that has just been launched by Vietnam Railways Corporation ( VNR ) and Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company (Haraco) to meet the increasing demand of domestic and international tourists for quality of vehicles and services.

According to VNR, the SE19/SE20 trains have been renovated and upgraded, such as: refurbishing and repainting the hull; installing more modern furniture, upgrading the seating cars, sleeping cars, hand washing areas, etc. to create a unique brand and identity. In particular, the sleeping compartments on the SE19/SE20 trains have been redecorated, with new mattresses, sheets, curtains, and the air conditioning system has been designed with buttons to adjust the temperature and wind direction according to the needs of each passenger.

The food service carriages on the SE19/SE20 trains are newly designed and equipped with new interiors; bright white ceramic sanitary equipment in the washroom and toilet; specialized cleaning staff are assigned, and technical solutions are applied to eliminate the cause of odors from waste containers.

Along with investing in equipment, VNR also selects a team of flight attendants (train captains, service staff) with many skills, experience, good English communication skills and has its own uniform for the staff of this high-quality train pair. The ticket price of the SE19/SE20 train pair ranges from 854,000 VND to 1,046,000 VND/ticket. The train departs from 2 stations in Hanoi and Da Nang, 1 trip per day.

“To make the high-quality passenger train route from Hanoi to Da Nang and vice versa effective, we have focused on improving the quality of reception and customer service, while improving environmental sanitation and ensuring security and order at Da Nang Station to create a friendly atmosphere for train passengers…”, shared Mr. Nguyen Loc Nam, Director of Da Nang Station.
