The 7th National Koi Show 2024 (All Viet Nam Koi Show 2023) takes place from June 22 to 23 at Military Zone 7 Stadium (Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City). This is an annual competition and a playground for koi lovers, first held in 2012.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Viet (representative of the organizing committee) shared that this exhibition brings together fish farm owners from all over the world such as: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Bac Giang , Hanoi, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak... and the Western provinces.
This year, the exhibition has a scale of more than 198 competing tanks (fish ponds), nearly 600 koi fish. The jury members participating in the competition are famous koi fish farmers in Japan, Malaysia and Thailand. Notably, for the first time in Vietnam, a 1.05m long, smooth-skinned Japanese koi fish participated in the competition.
Mr. Pham Phuoc Tai ( Hue City) shared: “This is the 5th time I have brought fish to compete. Starting from my passion, gradually raising koi fish to compete in major tournaments has become my main job. This year I see the scale of the organization is larger and more professional.”

The koi fish competition is organized into 3 groups, group A includes the basic koi fish which are kohaku, showa and sanke; group C is the group of monochromatic koi fish (hikarimuji mono), including the colors: yellow, red, black, brown and white; the remaining lines are put in group B - Photo: PHUONG QUYEN
