In the house of a single mother and two grown sons, Ms. Hoai Phuong (Dinh Le Street, Huong Thuy Town) has taken great care in choosing furniture and home decorations that tend toward earthy brown and dark brown. She decided to keep the natural color of the wood when using them to make kitchen cabinets, the color of the slats when separating the living room and kitchen; the color of the sofa set... "When he was alive, my husband also really liked this color tone and he often did not like to change everything in the family according to new trends. Now that we have the conditions to build a new house, the children also support me when I choose furniture that tends toward this color tone. The whole family also considers it a way for Dad to always be present and close to us," Ms. Phuong shared.

Chum villa ( Hue city) impresses at first sight with the feeling of recalling the peaceful rural life of the past through the fence system built with red terracotta bricks. The further inside, Chum villa becomes more attractive with a space of nearly 700m2, the owner delicately expresses the message of preserving and continuing the traditional values and old memories of the family. In order to both preserve the commemorative elements and still have full amenities for new family members, the architects of LimDim house (the design and construction unit of the project) have cleverly interspersed the details to create a connection between tradition and modernity. In which, the main tones are terracotta, brown and natural wood colors.

Design experts have named deep brown when discussing interior design trends for 2023. Along with that, it is also bringing nature into the living space, multi-layered lighting systems, using sustainable materials, prioritizing curves and domes... These trends are considered to meet 3 criteria, including: Creating a flexible, comfortable and inspiring space; can withstand the test of time; synchronize with the preferences and highlight the homeowner's lifestyle. Warm, deep browns are used as new neutrals, as interior designer Natalia Miyar emphasized: "Warm browns are very suitable to use if you want to achieve a natural, modern and neat aesthetic. At the same time, these colors make any room cozy and comfortable".

To create a modern, luxurious and intimate living space, design experts often choose brown tones combined with bright tones. For example, dark brown wooden floors, combined with cabinets, shelves, tables and chairs in different dark and light brown tones. For the kitchen space, brown earth has the advantage of creating highlights for the kitchen cabinets, creating a clean and intimate feeling. For the bedroom space, brown earth is often emphasized on the floor, wardrobe, dressing table... helping to create a quiet, relaxing feeling when family members gather.

Although it is simple, stable and easy to coordinate, design experts also note that when deciding to use earthy brown in their living space, homeowners should learn more about feng shui factors related to themselves and their family members. According to feng shui, if used appropriately, brown tones will bring good energy to the homeowner.
