
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Parade and Marching Subcommittee chaired the meeting. Also attending were representatives of agencies under the Ministry of National Defense , leaders of Military Region 7 and representatives of Binh Duong province.

At the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, the Lao People's Army, the Royal Cambodian Army and the Chinese People's Liberation Army sent their most outstanding officers and soldiers to Vietnam to participate in the parade in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30.
At the meeting, representatives of the friendly military delegations expressed their deep gratitude for the thoughtful reception and active and comprehensive support of the Vietnam People's Army, contributing to creating favorable conditions for them to practice with peace of mind and prepare well for the upcoming important event. The heads of delegations affirmed that this event not only has political and defense significance but is also an opportunity to continue to foster the traditional friendship, international solidarity and extensive cooperation between the armies of the countries.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia affirmed that the presence and participation of friendly military delegations is a vivid demonstration of international solidarity and the close ties between the armies and people of Vietnam, China, Laos and Cambodia. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia praised the seriousness, urgent training, and the will to overcome difficulties of the officers and soldiers of the friendly delegations in the process of preparing for the parade; affirming the friendly cooperative relationship between the armies of the countries.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff requested that agencies, units, and localities assigned to support should create the best conditions for food, accommodation, and living, ensuring safety and convenience so that the delegations can practice with peace of mind and complete their tasks well.

On behalf of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia presented many meaningful gifts to the delegations of friendly armies, expressing the sincere affection and deep concern of the Vietnam People's Army for the armed forces of friendly countries.
